BARDOLESQUE – STAGING THE REVOLUTION. 2011

As part of the Not Part Of Festival 2011, I am running a unique charity cabaret event called BARD-O-LESQUE, on Thursday 14^th July from 7 to 10 pm, at Cord Bar, in Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

This will be a fusion of burlesque, cabaret, comedy, and performance poetry and acoustic music, blended together as never before. With many acts to choose from, many shows are often simply a pick and mix selection of artistes lined up for another night out that can end up looking like many other events. Bard-o-lesque is a specially created event, centred on the theme of revolution. Participants and audience alike are invited to dress up on theme, and it can be anything to do with revolution, from the French, Russian, Industrial, Chinese Cultural revolutions, to turn of a vinyl record Let your imagination run riot, and expect the unexpected.

The show is being staged for charity; so all performers are giving their time and commitment for free. The charity chosen is Manchester’s Christie’s Hospital,
