Mrs. Sylvia Prendergast 6875479096876879 attended her monthly exercise and weight-monitoring club last night (17th July 2015). At the weigh in, it was recognised that she gained four pounds in weight. She blamed stress over continuous ID Checks, and a craving for comfort foods. Three chocolate bars fell from her handbag when she reached into it to get her ID card ready for my routine inspection of each member of my club.
Mrs. Prendergast is worried as references to her last recorded weight gain were read by her employees at Cresthill Cushions, in Prestwich. Apparently, the firm questioned her health crisis and asked her whether or not she was medically fit enough to take on more responsibilities. Mrs. Prendergast offered them assurances that she was doing her best to lose weight and suggested that an increased workload might help her lose weight more quickly.
Sadly, the fact that her weight has increased since that meeting with her managers suggests that she needs further support and encouragement to help her lose those pounds and lower her blood pressure. She joined in with our Aerobics class and chanted the Club mantra -‘ Healthy is efficient – Fat and lazy isn’t’, with us with enthusiasm and gusto. She was then spotted calling into a kebab shop on her way home. I find such a setback most disheartening. I wonder if we can really help this lady when she does so little to help herself. She clearly lacks discipline.
