EVEREST, THE HARD WAY.
Dear Everest Double Glazing Windows,
Your panes are as tough as your adverts say.
I tried that test (The one John Noakes shows)
I hired a crane. It arrived last Tuesday
And I swung the steel ball towards the glass
(I’d bet my wife it would withstand the blast)
The ball hit me. (My concussion will pass).
My second swing missed again, sailed right past
Our house, but alas, not next door’s garage
And on the rebound, it flattened our cat.
The neighbors started giving a barrage
Of abuse; how dare they swear at me like that.
Your glass survived. Strike three was on target.
Pity our house wasn’t built just like it.
