IS UNDERWATER SEX POSSIBLE FOR HUMANS?
I often wonder whether sex is possible for humans who are totally immersed in water. Obviously, sex is shallow water, bathtubs, swimming pool shallows, etc, is possible, though I have yet to try it. Fish, amphibians and most aquatic mammals can cope, but people often cannot.
What seems impossible is sex where one or both parties have to be totally under the surface for the duration of at least orgasm.
H2O FELLATIO – POSSIBLE BUT DANGEROUS
Fellatio is possible to experience underwater, though it would be the partner applying lips to the other party who would be in most danger. The male who is being fellated could keep his head (mouth and nostrils at least) above water. The male or female performing the blowjob would be the one going under the water unless both parties choose to go down below together.
With deep breaths, the fellator would be able to suck at the growing member to bring it to ejaculation, though it may be best to raise the member close to climax before taking a breath and going down under water to finish the job in its final stages.
For the man reaching fellatio orgasm underwater, there is danger of exhaling all the air in the lungs while still underwater and feeling the need to breath in sharply, which could cause panic and potential drowning if self-control is lost, but most men would be able to cope.
Complete penis to vagina intercourse underwater presents much greater difficulty whether breathing equipment like aqua-lungs are used or not.
AQUATIC SEX WITHOUT BREATHING EQUIPTMENT
Getting two people into water deep enough to have sex while fully immersed presents difficulties of its own, as waves and currents in open seawater will create additional complications. Rivers would potentially carry the couple downstream; Lakes might be the best environments to consider if a private swimming pool is not accessible (public pools obviously frowning on swimmers having sex in the water). Also, swimming while holding onto or penetrating another person would be quite difficult. Sex in deep water would involve one partner treading water and being relatively passive while the other partner did all the work.
Taking a deep breath and just swimming under-water will show that the body quickly wants to return to the surface. Lugs for all but highly trained free divers, cannot keep air trapped inside for more than a few minutes, so underwater sex without breathing apparatus would have to be fast, frenzied and probably quite uncomfortable.
The use of weights might help to keep a body down under-water, or more practically, resting on the bottom, where the passive partner can hold rocks to give themselves some anchorage.
The swimmers will need to surface and breath, and frustratingly, not at the same time as one another. A swimmer being sexed will be quite frustrated if a partner has to let go and go up to gulp in air at a climatic moment. There is the danger of sex-swimmers holding a partner back in the grip of passion and causing them to drown or panic under-water.
SEX WITH AN AQUALUNG
Sex-swimmers may want to try to use an aqualung each in order to defeat the need to surface and take ion air, but aqualungs present problems for aquatic sex being large and clunky and obstructive to full person grappling. Without a wet suit (or with holes around erogenous zones and genitalia that the sex-swimmers want free access to) the aqualung will chafe badly.
Also, the deep breathing used in sexual passion could exhaust air supplies quickly and cause the bends. Orgasm could momentarily disorientate divers, and there is an anger of sex in the sea creating sufficient frenzy to attract sharks.
It strikes me therefore that underwater sex (using a submarine is cheating) is nigh on impossible, or at best so arduous and uncomfortable as to defeat the erotic pleasures that one might hope to gain from it.
Like many men, I harbour certain mermaid fantasies, though the mermaid has her entire lower region, including the vagina as a massive fish tail – it would border on bestiality.
