Flixya is a free subscription and usage blog, photo, and video storage site that allows users to add their images and videos and more importantly lets you add Adsense to your features and keep 100 percent of the income your pages there generate.
They have a nice layout, and the photos vary from commercial business related images (lots of insurance firms use Flixya), and independent bloggers like myself. Downloading can be slow, and the text blog pages often simply freeze up and don’t allow you to post your blog at all. I haven’t tried downloading videos, but for photos, the site is excellent.
You get comments and feedback from other users ad I’m already finding some lovely friends there, and though Flixya have a policy of not accepting adult content, t here are many sexy images of models promoting cars and insurance firms there – I expect it’s outright nudity that Flixya frown upon.
To work with Flixya you need an Adsense account, and you can set one up through their site if you don’t already have one. It’s a quick and easy operation. You get paid every time your income there hits £60.00 (UK currency).
Downloading times vary, and you can set work out in galleries or to set topics or both, enabling you to promote a wide range of subject content. As Adsense lets you use its advertising tags on multiple sites, you can still use your photos elsewhere too so the site has lots of potential.
There are several other such sites, but Flixya seems to be easier to use than most and the photos come out clearly, with lots of opportunity to describe the content of them. Downloading multiple photos can be a slow process though and it can be easier to load images one by one, which can be a painstaking process though it does mean you are constantly listed in the page for latest submissions.
Once added, your photos work for you, in perpetuity. You don’t have to do more, though adding more images and making sure they are well tagged will mean you get a nice bonus to your income once in a while.
