Yougov are one of the biggest and most respected of all online market research organizations. There are many offering prizes, payments and donations, but few deliver as reliably and frequently as Yougov.
Founded in the UK in 2007, Yougov has over 25,000 subscribers in Britain, and now expands its services to Germany, Scandinavia, The Middle east & the US.
Subscribers and volunteers can expect to be paid anything from 25p to £2.00 for taking opinion polls and surveys which can take anything from five to 20 minutes to complete, usually with multiple choice questions, (including don’t know & not applicable options). Subjects vary from questions of which political parties the survey takers support, (especially at the time of national and regional political elections), to assessments of the quality of various commercial products ranging from soft drinks manufacturers, to car makers, airlines, and electronics & computer sellers. You might be asked with some confidentiality whether you would like to work for various companies and corporations, or if you would not. Many commercial product related surveys are run for Yougov subsidiary group, Brandindex.
Payment is not issued immediately after each survey, but once survey takers have earned £50.00, when a cheque is sent by post, though a service like Paypal would be easier to utilize for many. It can take months to acquire the final sum, though the more surveys you do; the more Yougov will send you.
Some Yougov surveys are unpaid but get the survey taker’s name entered into regular cash prize wining draws. Whether payment is to be made or not is clearly labelled on each survey, and so, unlike many competitors, Yougov is worth getting involved in. Don’t expect to be made rich, but the surveys are fun, and the occasional cheque through the post is nice to receive.
To date Yougov do not conduct services that are not run online.
